Since its founding in 2010, Innocence Matters has secured the release of numerous innocent people who have collectively served 85 years in prison for crimes they did not commit! The time-consuming and immensely rewarding work of securing their release was done by volunteers on a shoestring budget. Beginning in 2023, Seamus Law will fully fund this work when it launches its pro bono program under the name of Innocence Matters. A limited number of eligible clients who have been wrongfully convicted in Los Angeles County will be selected for free habeas representation.
